With the rise in popularity of Pinterest and Houzz, ideas spread like wildfire and compile to create more and more unique, inspiring, and all around awesome designs. Some home features that we've seen are downright genius. If you did implement any of these features, you'd need to keep pictures on you at all times otherwise no one would believe you.
An Indoor Slide
Channel your inner child -or delight your children!- with an indoor slide connecting one story to the one below it. You could also implement a slide in a children's play room, connecting it to a play loft above.
A Glass-Bottom Pool
What is more luxurious than a glass bottom pool? In addition to the gorgeous blue skylight effect, shadows and waves of light will scatter the area below. This can also be a practical way of having a pool without taking up backyard space that can be used for other purposes.
Children's Playroom Loft
Playroom lofts come in all shapes and sizes, tree-houses, castles, jungle gyms, clouds, or in this case: a pirate ship! This nautical room is made even more spectacular with a playroom loft, shaped like the bottom of a ship, accessible by a rope bridge.
For the adventurous souls or those who like to keep on moving, a rock wall can be a particularly tempting addition to your home. Believe it or not, this isn't a ground-breaking new idea. In fact, a quick google search can give you tons of inspiration from a standard nine foot wall DIY-ed into a small rock wall for a child to a huge two story foyer transformed into a rock wall and gym for a fun-loving family.
For that open space in a loft or foyer, a useful, practical, and fun addition may be a net hammock. This can be for relaxing with a book, watching a movie, or catching up on some sleep. Whatever you use it for, it's a relatively simple addition and can make a big impact!
